Biography: Biography: Jesus Chrysler Suicide]
Jesus Chrysler Suicide Is one of the most interesting
bands in Poland. They begun their career four years ago.
Music Corner Records released their first record called
"Romp" in April 1993. In order to promote the band they took part in concerts
and festivals all over Poland. They performed on the biggest festival in
Eastern- Europe "Jarocin Festival" in 1993 and 1994. They played as support
with Life Of Agony and Pro-Pain.
Their first album had a very good press. Thanks to their
shocking reviews they have created many controversial opinions.
A second record "Schizovirus" released April 1995. It's
a hard task to discribe the music to this record, it's definitely more
intrique, more speedy, more fearfull and anxious than their first album.
Lots of experiments and a perfect sound, can we honesly say that this record
is original and an exciting product.
The title Schizovirus was introduced totally spontaneously,
similarly to the name of the band. Everyone can interpret it on his own
way. I know people who have found in it even an apocalyptic conveyance.
We try to find our own place in music. Our compositions are inspired by
music of Sonic Youth, Killing Joke, Young Gods, The Prodigy and Slayer.
This record is a mixture of some European styles and heavy American sounds.
It seems to me that it creates a real monster.
A vision of schezophrenic world is visible on the whole
record. It's a kind of a virus influenced by various categories of music
starts with Black Sabbath through Joy Division and Bauhaus - ends with
Soundgarden and Nine Inch Nails. Thanks to the Schizovirus turns to be
one of the most intrique productions of the year 1995
(Super Express magazine - December 1995)
In 1997 the band signed a contract with KOCH International
Poland. In 1998 the band released the album "Remixed by 2-47". The son
"Anaconda's Child" from this album appeared on the soundtrack of the Polish
cinema film "GNIEW".
